All fastpitch softball lessons are conducted by Lead Instructor John Wong. Coach Wong offers both private and small group lessons, as well as team training sessions. Softball lessons taught include pitching lessons, hitting lessons and defensive instruction for all nine fielding positions.
ABOUT JOHN WONG
- 20+ years of fastpitch softball coaching experience, including 9 years at the NCAA Division I level.
- Voted 2000 NCAA Patriot League Coach of the Year.
- Helped guide Harvard University to first Ivy League Championship & NCAA Softball Tournament berth in school history.
- Trained numerous student-athletes at both the high school & collegiate level that have attained All-League status.
John Wong is currently the Director of Baseball and Softball at the Adirondack Sports Complex - a.k.a. "The Dome." Prior to arriving at ASC, John served as Director of Fastpitch Softball / Baseball Instructor at Frozen Ropes - Albany.
John spent five years as a private softball instructor in the Raleigh, NC area prior to moving to the Capital District. During his time in NC, John volunteered as an assistant softball coach on North Carolina's premiere 18u travel ball team, the Triangle Lightning.
Coach Wong is the former Youth Baseball Program Director and Lead Baseball Instructor for the City of Oneonta Recreation Department. John also played seven years of semi-professional baseball for the Oneonta Shamrocks.
John holds a degree in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland, coupled with a Concentration in Coaching.

All private indoor and outdoor softball lessons are given at the Adirondack Sports Complex (Queensbury, NY). Fastpitch productions is located about 45 minutes north of Albany, NY (up 87 North).
